Nashville Tennessee

We drove 200 miles to Nashville for an overnight trip. It was a bit rushed but it was worth it.  We saw more then we wanted to see.

Nashville Skyline. We arrived in the rain.

Johnny Cash Museum

First stop was the Johnny Cash museum. It was great to see the picture of his life.  Here are some of his numerous album covers.

After we visited Broadway street, with it's colorful signs. They have all kinds of bars with live entertainment, candy stores, and record stores.  Even visited Nudies with it's 100 foot bar top.

Bonus, Tootsies the famous local bar was celebrating it's 57th anniversary with a street party on Broadway.  On stage we saw  the pre game pep rally from the local cheerleaders of the Predators. They also had live entertainment until 2 am. We stayed a bit but we had places to go.

We took a taxi to the Grand Ole Oprey for an amazing show. If you ever have the chance to watch Keith Urban live do it!

The next day we visited the Country Hall of Fame.  It's country music overload.  Well worth its admission price.
Part of the collection of albums.

Roger Miller was a great musician.

We had lunch at Tootsies a famous local bar. It was delicious.  It is a three story museum of country legends with a live band on each floor.

BRITT 2014 written on top.

Famous guests!
On the top floor it was three famous singers. I did not know them but I thought Brad Paisley was there. They were rehearsing for something.

It was sad to leave. If you like country music go to Nashville.  Now back to the boat.  This quote was in the Museum. I thought it was appropriate with music and boating.

  1. Wow sounds like you went over night but didn't sleep much! What are the chances of finding a Britt tag in Nashville? Pretty neat.
